I met Sue 20 years ago to help me with paint colors. Since then I've remodeled 2 homes and built one from the ground up. It was an absolute pleasure working with Comfort Designs on our new home build. With ease, they guided us every step along the way in the decision making processes; both big and small. The experience of building, designing and decorating a forever home is one that initially made me anxious and overwhelmed. After signing on with Comfort Designs, the experience couldn’t have been more of the opposite for myself and my husband. They took the lead but always kept our vision in mind. We wanted a home that was comfortable, practical but also stunning for our growing family of 6! Our final product was that and more!
The mother daughter duo, Sue and Maddie, work hand and hand and no detail is overlooked or too small. They are prompt and to the point and work diligently to meet deadlines and attend appointments. I am in awe of their design abilities and their seamless coordination skills. Kiersten, working on the back end, helps with various designing tasks that were very important to see as a client, such as mood boards, sketch ups etc. She was timely and patient.
Our new home is a dream come true and I owe a lot of the projects success to Comfort Designs. The team is not only stellar designers but all around wonderful people. I truly enjoyed working with them and I know we will have a few more projects with them down the road!

My wife and I are physicians with lots of training in science but no real background in “the arts.” Sue and Maddie are especially gifted at understanding our tastes and “vision,” and they take the time to clearly present the advantages and disadvantages of any furnishings or design options they suggest.
Sue and Maddie have a deep understanding of design principles and recent design trends. They are always punctual, highly organized, and detail oriented. They meet deadlines and stay within budget. The fees that we have been charged are very cost considerate and compare favorably to others we know about in our area along the New Jersey Shore.
Sue and Maddie have decades of combined experience creating high-end residential interiors. They kept us informed every step of the way, mostly by meeting us at “the best in class” shops in N.J. to help us select (as a team) our tile, natural stone slabs for counter tops, door handles and locks, custom kitchen cabinetry, paints and painters, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, unique lighting fixtures, carpets or rugs, and furniture (at Furnitureland South, N.C.).
Sue and Maddie also made many valuable suggestions during the construction process that dramatically enhanced the appearance and function of our home, including a large addition, our remodeled kitchen, several bedrooms, and 5 renovated bathrooms. The result is a coordinated flow of attractive and comfortable furnished rooms with a new addition that encourages stunning views of our backyard patios, lawn and garden.
